      For deals like Meijer's Buy 5, Save $5: every 5 qualifying items take $5 off. Add the promo, then add the items it covers. Items from different recipes and staples all count together.

      Two adults plus two toddlers at about half a portion each is 3 portions. Your receipts show Meijer took roughly 12% off your total through sales and coupons.

      How the prices work
      • Items you buy often use your latest regular shelf price from your Meijer receipts. Receipts print no package sizes, so the size is an assumption, for example a dozen eggs or an 8 oz bag of shredded cheese.
      • The simple breakfast and lunch ideas marked "quick idea" are my own family-sized combinations, not your bookmarks, with quantities I estimated. Items marked "est." are my estimate of a typical store-brand price. Click any price in the list to type in the real one; it is remembered.
      • You pay for whole packages. A recipe that needs half a pound of beef still costs the pack you have to buy, and meat sold by weight rounds up to the next quarter pound.
      • Pantry items (salt, spices, flour, oil and similar) are assumed to be on your shelf and are not counted. Tap "Have it" on any line to move it to the pantry, or "Need to buy" to bring it back.
